Semi-coke is a carbon residue that is formed as a result of pyrolysis of various carbon-containing waste, such as used car tires, plastic and industrial rubber waste, various polymers, tissue waste, and so on. For its formation, a temperature of 600 degrees Celsius is required.
The semi-coke can be used as solid fuel or as carbon black. In the first case, for burning in furnaces (it can be preliminarily briquetted, but it can be used without briquetting). Such fuel has a calorific value of more than seven and a half thousand Kcal. In the second case, semi-coke is used as a dye or filler for various products.
It is important to consider the size of the char. Large pieces are used as an efficient fuel, in particular for domestic needs. Small pieces serve as energy fuel. They are added to the charge for coking - a mixture of different grades of coal in various ratios, which provide the possibility of obtaining conditioned coke.
Semicoke is beneficial for manufacturers of building materials, the chemical industry, the production of activated carbons, sorbents, fuel additives, because semicoke is an easily flammable smokeless fuel with a high calorific value: at least 309 MJ / m3 (7400 kcal / m3).
Semi-coke production is one of the possibilities of the EKKO carbonation unit. This unit was invented and manufactured by Green Power specialists. 20 years of experience with this technology has made it possible to manufacture equipment of the world quality standard, which is harmless to the environment.
